Contamination happens when non-recyclable items end up in your curbside recycling cart or in a Feed Mr. Murph bin. It also happens when items are recycled improperly, such as a jug or carton with food still inside.
Contamination can damage our equipment, put our staff at risk, and cause a lot of good recyclables to be thrown away because of contact. Please check our list of accepted recyclables and our do-not-recycle list before placing items in the bin.
