Contamination can happen when non-recyclable items are placed in your curbside recycling carts or in our Feed Mr. Murph bins. It can also happen when items are improperly recycled—such as when food waste remains in a jug or carton when recycling.
Contamination can cause damage and harm to our equipment and our staff. It can also cause a lot of viable items to no longer be recycled due to contact. Please make sure to check our list of accepted recyclables before placing items in the bins.
