American Waste Control is a family owned and operated company that has been servicing Tulsa and surrounding communities for more than 50 years! Our goal is to do what it takes to deliver only the best in waste disposal and recycling at every opportunity.

We want you to receive the best service possible, so we came up with some helpful tips to make your experience with us easy and effortless. 

Please take a few moments to read over the following guidelines for your curbside pickup and fill out the auto pay form if you’d like to take advantage of our quick and convenient auto pay program.

 Important Reminders: 

  • All services are billed monthly, in arrears and are due upon receipt
  • For every past due invoice you will be charged a $5 late fee.
  • To ensure pickup, place trash at the curb by 6:00 a.m., on day of collection

Guidelines For Curbside Pickup

  • Place your carts curbside by 6 a.m. on your pickup day. 
  • All trash must be bagged and placed inside your cart. Make sure the handles face your property and the lid openings face the street.
  • Anything outside your cart is $3.00 per bag & bulk items are $15 each.
  • Make sure trash trucks can get to your cart. Place it as least five feet from objects such as mailboxes, shrubs, fire hydrants, cars, and any additional poly-cart. Your cart should face the street, but not be in the street. 
  • Keep your neighborhood nice and neat. Put away empty carts as soon as possible after collection.
  • Additional poly-carts are only $10 extra per month. If you require additional carts, please order one by calling 918-582-1147.  
  • Crews are not responsible for trash scattered by high winds or animals.
  • No Hazardous waste material, including paint cans, oil and car batteries, no flammable containers such as gas cans or flammable materials, no dead animals, no chemicals, tires, lawn mowers, car parts.
  • No Construction material, such as bricks, concrete, sheetrock, tile, dirt, wood, mulch, rock, shingles, bathroom fixtures, furniture, fencing material, etc.
  • Bulk items must be arranged 24 hrs in advance and are subject to additional charges.
    • Examples: Christmas trees, shrubs/limbs, televisions, mattresses, furniture, appliances. No refrigerators or air conditioners.
    • Limb bundles maximum measurements are 4 feet long by 2 feet wide
    • Limbs cannot be more than 2” in diameter
  • Weight limits:
    • 50lbs per bag
    • 150lbs maximum per filled poly cart

  • If paying by check payments need to be mailed to American Waste Control at PO Box 21054, Tulsa, OK 74121.  
  • Payments are due upon receipt and should be in our office by the 10th of every month.
  • Account holders are solely responsible for theft and/or undue damage to poly carts.

Holiday Schedule

Residential trucks run on ALL major holidays EXCEPT Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. If your pickup day does not fall on any of these holidays your pickup day will stay the same. If you miss us and are wanting us to come back out to get you picked up there will be a fee.

If your pickup day does fall on the day of one of these holidays you will be picked up the following Saturday and specific dates have been added below.

Terms and Conditions

Container placement and usage:

All containers will be placed on a hard or paved surface to prevent property damage. If a customer requests placement on an unpaved surface, this could result in increased costs if inclement weather prevents removal on the date requested. Costs could include: (1) a trip fee based on location and no less than $50, and (2) additional lease fees at current rental rate until ground conditions allow for removal. If the container is placed on an unpaved surface at the customer’s request, the customer assumes all responsibility for any increased costs and any damage to the ground or grass this may cause.

Due to safety concerns, please do not attempt to move a container once placed at your site. If you need a container moved before final pickup, please call customer service at 918-446-0023.

American Waste Control, Inc. is not responsible for accidents, injury or damage caused by a container or to a container while the container is at the customer’s location.

Material

Most material is acceptable for disposal in our temporary containers. Please see the following list for exceptions. If unsure of size or material, please contact customer service at 918-446-0023 prior to placing items in containers.

    • Follow Special Instructions
      • Refrigerators and air conditioners – disconnect and drain Freon
      • Lawn mowers or other lawn equipment – drain gas and oil tanks
    • Special Quote Required

(Not allowed unless preapproved, call 918-446-0023 before placing any of these items in your dumpster)

    • Hazardous or flammable substances
    • Biohazardous materials
    • Car batteries
    • Tires – minimum charge of $25 per tire
    • Wet paint or other solvents
  • Not allowed
    • Dead animals

*If a container is overloaded, American Waste Control, Inc. will either charge additional fees to haul the container or require the customer to offload material prior to removal if the container is unable to be safely hauled.
