Great news! We’ve just been officially certified by the non-profit environmental group, CHWMEG, for our landfill at American Environmental Landfill. What exactly does that mean? AEL is now approved as the disposal facility of choice for companies region-wide, including the elite Fortune 500.
Awards don’t get any bigger than this for a waste to energy landfill and really shows the tough due diligence with waste streams we undertake and the commitment we have to assure the best in environmental protection. This certification is just one more layer of protection for our customer and guarantee of our environmental integrity.
CHWMEG evaluations are performed according to a standard protocol by independent and experienced environmental firms and are recognized as the “best environmental management practices” by environmental managers, risk managers, and legal counsel.
To date, CHWMEG has conducted over 3,400 individual facility reviews of over 1,350 unique facilities in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Finland, France, Gabon, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom (England), USA, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
AEL now stands out as the only independently owned landfill in the nation to be named a member of the prestigious CHWMEG group of companies.
And, we’re pretty proud of that.
